The under 16s finished their season this weekend with three games, the first on Friday was a rematch against a strong Wicklow side for the Cs/Ds. Despite holding them to a 1-1 draw in the first half they were unable to contain them in the second losing 5-1, however we've enjoyed two good spirited matched now against them and will definitely be looking to meet them again next season.
On Saturday, our As and Bs were in action against Pembroke Wanderers. First up our Bs who took an early lead and despite conceding an equiliser showed true determination to get the winner in the last few seconds of the match! 2-1 to Bray. Finally the As took the pitch and showed themselves worthy opponents with a strong first half leading 1-0. A bit of a lapse in the third quarter saw Pembroke take the lead with two goals but in the final quarter Bray regained their form to score the equiliser, 2-2.
Some great games and a good chance for the girls to put into practice all their training through the season.
