To all Bray Hockey Club members, friends and families first and foremost we hope that you are all safe and well in these very strange times.
We understand that there is a lot of disappointment in light of the government announcement for us all to move to level 5 but health and safety must be our first priority.
The committee have been closely following the updates on restrictions and unfortunately in light of the recent announcement senior training will be on hold from midnight Wed 21st October.
However, please be aware that we now have confirmation that non-contact training can take place for all school going members. School aged members and coaches can travel outside the 5km radius to attend training. Training will be adjusted to ensure that it is non-contact. Your coaches will be in touch with the new arrangements.
With the restrictions in place over the next 6 weeks in mind, your senior coaches are currently working on a plan to help our senior members to remain engaged with the club in a fun and safe way. They will be in touch as soon as possible with further details.
The Junior team are also working hard in the background to maintain junior training on Friday evenings and Sundays in line with government and Hockey Ireland guidelines. We would please ask all junior members and their families to ensure that they are familiar with the protocols in place so that we can continue this training in as safe a manner as possible.
We appreciate that these are very difficult times for our members and their families and would like to reiterate that Bray Hockey Club is not just a hockey club, it is a community, and in times of difficulty communities pull together to help each other out. This is a core principle of Bray Hockey Club and we as club will endeavour to ensure that help is at hand for whoever needs it over the coming weeks and months. We would ask our members to pass on any ideas they may have, reach out to people who may be struggling or living alone, promote and support local businesses in our communities and above all stay safe and well.
Thank you for being part of our team.
