Calling parents, guardians and volunteers : we need your help!

Bray HC are committed to Hockey Ireland's policies on Safeguarding and it has been a long held goal for us to have a number of Children's Officers across the club.

Children’s Officers are appointed within hockey clubs to ensure implementation and promotion of the relevant Safeguarding Policy and Guidelines so as to ensure that young people can participate, enjoy and benefit from our sport in a safe and enjoyable surrounding.

The next online course via Hockey Ireland is on July 22nd 2026. It is €25 (which the club will reimburse on completion) , takes 3 hours from 18:30 to 21:30 and you must have previously completed the level 1 safeguarding course (with any organisation in ROI, it does not have to be Hockey Ireland level 1 safeguarding). 

We would really appreciate it if a number of people would complete the course so that there is a larger safeguarding  knowledge base within the club and across the different sections and squads.
