Welcome back to all our members and we hope you had a lovely mid-term break. We have some housekeeping reminders for everyone :)
Temple Carrig School - please ensure you stay off the grass area at the side of the pitch as they are trying to regenerate the grass, and we also want to avoid mud being transferred to the pitch. There is also a no dog policy at the school so please don't walk your pets on the grounds during your child's training session or match.
Clubzap – every parent of a junior member should be in their child’s chat group on clubzap. If you are not, please let the junior admin know asap – email juniors@brayhockeyclub.ie.
Clubzap Invites - Please respond to all invites sent for training, matches or blitzes. For coaches to plan sessions they need to be aware of numbers for training and availability for matches/blitzes. If your child is injured or will be away for a period, just message the coach directly so they are aware but for weekly sessions all that is required is a Yes or No response to the invite sent in your child's clubzap group.
Away Matches - At the start of each season, Leinster Hockey places teams within leagues throughout Leinster, this includes counties outside of Dublin/Wicklow. This means that some matches will require travel. Our junior numbers are large for each competitive group but when it comes to travel, we often don't have the numbers to field a team which means the match is cancelled effecting players who make the effort, and also the opposition don't get to play either. This is not acceptable. The coaches take their training and planning seriously and want to put out the teams they are working with weekly. Can we please make all effort to travel when needed so matches get played and all the great work the coaches and your child is putting in are showcased.
Club Social - parents, coaches, players (if U18 parental consent required) are welcome to attend the club social this Saturday 9th November in the Horse & Hound from 7pm - a flash quiz will be held with nibbles and a nice opportunity for people to catch up or meet. Cover charge €10 via this link - https://brayhockeyclub.ie/products/22446/purchases/new
Junior Administration – welcome to Kathy O’Toole as our new Junior Administrator. Kathy is a long serving member of the club, and we are delighted to have her on board helping with the administration and fixtures for the junior section. If you have any queries, please contact Kathy at juniors@brayhockeyclub.ie
Thanks for your cooperation,
