Bray Hockey Club is looking for a Junior Administrator for the upcoming season. This will be a paid position on a fixed term contract.

About the Club

We are a community based hockey club with over 700 members based in the North Wicklow area.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an administrator to assist with the day to day operations of the junior section of the club. 

Responsibilities

  • Responding to email, phone, whatsapp and Clubzap chat group queries from parents, coaches, clubs, leagues regarding the junior section of the club.
  • Organisation of weekly training,  match & blitz schedule, including coordination with coaches and other clubs.
  • Administration duties - club transfer forms, updating content in coaches folder etc ( Junior Google Drive).
  • Coordination of Junior coaches hours and monthly payment.
  • Track pitch use in Loreto and Temple Carrig school and submit hours used monthly for invoicing.
  • Ensure correct and up to date registration of teams and players with Leinster league.
  • Management of membership database and waiting list, including assisting with the collection of fees.
  • Assisting with club communications for junior club communications to coaches and parents, including website and social media.
  • Administration of the club website and online shop.
  • Assisting with certification of coaches for compliance and educational purposes (e.g. Garda Vetting, Code of Conduct, Coaching Courses).
  • Auditing and coordination of junior equipment requirements and coaching expenses.
  • Assisting with the organisation and communication of junior club events, including social events, camps.
  • Responsibilities may vary from time to time according to the needs of the club.
  • Liaise with Junior coordinators for all junior club related duties/ tasks - John Lush & Michelle Lambert.
  • Requirements
  • Computer literacy, ideally with experience using Gmail, Google Drive and Docs.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Organised and proactive with excellent prioritisation abilities
  • Customer-service focused, personable and professional
  • Flexible with can-do attitude
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with stakeholders 
  • Knowledge of IT, website, social media platforms and communications systems desirable. 

Terms

Fixed term contract.
Competitive hourly rate.
Minimum 8 hours per week during the season (August - April).
3 months probationary period.
